Bassett Medical Centers marked a major milestone last week when the birthing center had its 1,000th baby born there in 2017.  According to a news release Baby number 1,000 was born December 19th at 3:57 a.m. to Paula Waffle and Eric Johnson of Brookfield.  Maverick James Johnson weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 21 inches long. A specially-made blanket made by birthing center staff was presented to Maverick’s parents, along with a large gift basket containing many goodies and baby-related items.
