BREAKING NEWS: Hancock Junior and Senior High Schools Evacuated; Suspicious Odor

News has just been received that Hancock Junior and Senior High Schools were evacuated about 9:29 this morning after maintenance workers discovered a suspicious odor.  The decision was made immediately to evacuate all students as a safety precaution.  All students were evacuated to a holding area in the Hancock Elementary School gymnasium.  NYSEG is on the scene investigating.

According to Hancock Superintendent Dr. Terrance Dougherty the "evacuation went seamlessly, and without incident to any students or personnel."
