Children at Dayton Children’s Hospital in Ohio got the visit of a lifetime last week (Sept. 15) when Hunter Hayes stopped by before his Cares for Kids concert with K99.1 FM in Middlesburg, Ohio.

The star posted a photo compilation set to his song “Love Too Much” via the app Flipagram to share the experience with fans afterward. The photos show Hayes brightening the days of several different patients. He had to wear a surgical mask in some of the kids' rooms, but it’s clear he’s smiling ear-to-ear behind it.

All proceeds from the Cares for Kids concert went to the K99.1 FM Cares for Kids Radiothon, which raised funds for Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Hayes has been on with Lady Antebellum for their Wheels Up tour, which just wrapped, but will soon be headlining the 21 tour, named for his hit single of the same title. The run will consist of — you guessed it — 21 dates around the country, beginning Oct. 22 in Cullowhee, N.C., at Western Carolina University. Select shows will also feature Kelsea Ballerini.

Hayes says the shows will all have a little something different to make them unique, and he is looking forward to playing smaller venues this time around. “I’ve found myself in this really unique space while creating new music where there’s something really exciting about stripping it all back down and looking these fans in the eyes while playing,” Hayes says. “Whether it’s playing some of our hits differently or seeing where the new music takes us while on stage, I just really want to take some time to connect on that level before releasing a full album next year.”
