Local Woman Wins $5,000,000 In NYS Scratch off Lottery (UPDATED)
(UPDATED, 11:25 am). The name of the woman who won the $5,000,000 is Audrey Waltimyer of Sharon Springs. At the check presentation today from the NYS Lottery, Waltimyer announced that she chose the lump sum payment which netted her nearly $3,000,000 after taxes were taken out.
The New York State Lottery announced on Tuesday that an unnamed Sharon Springs woman won the Set for Life scratch off lottery. She purchased her ticket at the Cobleskill Royal Food Mart. The winner's name will be revealed on Wednesday afternoon after an official check presentation.
This follows by two weeks the awarding of a one million dollar scratch off lottery prize to an Oneonta woman.
