A man about to be sentenced for a plea bargain in a murder case decided at the last minute he wanted out of the deal. Joshua Underwood appeared in Otsego County Court Monday and stated that he was coerced by the public defender’s assistant to take the first-degree manslaughter plea in the death of Mark Morrison of Oneonta. According to reports, the public defender ended up taking the case himself but now the judge assigned another attorney to the case. A new hearing date has not been set.
