New State Program to Purchase Bullet Proof Vests for Law Enforcement

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has unveiled the "Invest Partnership," a new state program offering law enforcement agencies the opportunity to purchase bullet proof vests for sworn police officers.

The partnership will help provide financial relief to agencies hurt by federal cutbacks and unable to afford the life-saving vests for their officers.

The "Invest Partnership" will restore cuts in funding which has decreased by 81% in recent years or by about $3.27 million.
