A Norwich woman will be back in court Tuesday on charges she embezzled thousands of dollars from a parent – teacher organization. Norwich Police say Rebecca Evans stole between $3,000 and about $7,600 from the Norwich Purple Tornado Community Team between July 2016 and this month while she was treasurer. Evans was arraigned last week on felony grand larceny and forgery. According to investigators Evans had planned to get money from the organization by forging the name of another member on the Purple Tornado’s checks.
