Oneonta Police are looking for whoever has an unactivated cell phone that has been used to make hundreds of calls to 9-1-1 since the beginning of the month. According to the Oneonta Police Department, the phone is believed to be in the area of Church Street and Dietz Street and north of Main Street and has been used to make 200 calls to the emergency number. It’s believed the phone is in a home, or a center, where children are playing as they can be heard on the open line. Police say those making the false calls are subject to arrest and prosecution.
