According to a press releaseAttorney General Eric Schneiderman is proposing that insurers doing business in New York be required to fully cover contraception costs whether or not the Affordable Care Act is repealed.

In a statement Schniederman says the proposal known as the Comprehensive Contraception Coverage Act would cover all FDA-approved forms of birth control, including those for men and emergency contraceptive pills like Plan B. Customers would be able to get up to a year’s worth of contraceptive at a time.
