Sheriff Devlin In Legal Battle With Otsego County Board

A legal battle is escalating between Otsego County and Sheriff Richard Devlin. According to a news release from the county Devlin refused to recuse himself from an investigation involving his son Sargent Ros Devlin over potential violations of the county's workplace violence protection program.

The county's Public Safety and Legal Affairs Committee says they've also subpoenaed records from the Sheriff's office pertinent to the workplace violence investigation and Sheriff Devlin has not fully complied. The committee says it will continue efforts to obtain the requested records.
