Why does Lisa Russell run? She had this to say:

The Boston Marathon takes place Monday, April 21st, Patriots Day in Boston.

"So today 23 years after my first exposure to the fabulous medical care at MGH and having built invaluable doctor, nurse, and patient friendships I now very much want and I am truly excited to help fight pediatric cancer one step at a time by running in the 2014 Boston marathon.  I will not just be running in the Boston marathon, but more importantly running and raising funds to help these young children currently fighting their battle with cancer and those who will be diagnosed in the future" ~ Lisa Russell
