Alice in Wonderland (2010)

A wonderful twist to an adaption of the old childrens tale...burton executes his view and stylings wonderfully in this movie. Being his highest grossing film to date, and a great film indeed....Burton's twist on Alice in Wonderland tells the tale of a 19 year old alice whom returns to the world of her childhood adventure, reunites with a few of her old buddies such as the Mad Hatter and March Hare... and finds out she is destined to defeat the red queen.

Edward Scissorhands (1990)

Burton once stated this may have been his most personal work. There are a plethora of emotions felt while watching this movie along with a variety of reactions coming from the scenes and characters. This is my favorite movie of all time. I absolutley love it. It is the tale of a "Incomplete Creation" named Edward. Who has scissors for hands. A lady named Peg finds him hiding up in a huge castle on a hill while on her makeup route and decides to basically adopt him (in a sense...). Edward then falls in love with her daughter, Kim. Evreybody in the neighborhood begins gossping about the news. And there where people lining up at Peg's door faster than she would of expected. It's just a great movie overall.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Stop motion with clay - Claymation. One of the things Tim Burton is known for...along with this film being one of the things people associate his name with. This has to be one of his most popular works. Being a double holiday movie for both Christmas and Halloween and having amazing musical numbers and a huge fan base...This would obviously deserve a spot on the list. The nightmare before Christmas tells the story of Jack Skellington, An ambitious er....skeleton..who would like change in his little town of never-ending Halloween. He ventures out and finds a door leading to a land where like his town, it is always a certain holiday...but this time it's Christmas. And from there major plot devlopment and craziness ensues.

Beetlejuice (1988)

Well for one, I absolutely love this one, And the Animated Series that spun off after the release of the film. (Which oddly enough was also produced by tim Burton.) This movie is just absolutely HILARIOUS. Beetlejuice is one big character.... The story follows a couple of ghosts who have recently passed as they enlist in a "bio-exorcist" to remove the crazy new owners of their home.

9 (2009)

Although quite a few people don't really consider this a Tim burton Movie, He DID, in fact work on it. Burton was the producer for this film. 9 follows the story of a ragdoll who awakens from a slumber, only to discover that he holds the key to the survival of humanity...and the trailer makes it look just about as epic as it actually is.
