Once again, two Delaware County graduating high school seniors will be awarded a scholarship from a non-profit group called The Catskill Ladies Association to Support and Inspire (C.L.A.S.I). In order to be eligible, students must submit a one to two page essay by May 1, 2020 to C.L.A.S.I stating why a donation should be made to a non profit group or organization of the students choice. In addition to the scholarship, a matching donation to the scholarship winner’s club, organization, school, or group of their choice will be made.

C.L.A.S.I. 's mission is to raise money to support individuals and non -profit groups in need. Since 2010, through fundraising efforts, C.L.A.S.I has donated a total of $77,790.05. For more information on applying for the scholarship, click here.

Proceeds for the two scholarships comes from the proceeds raised from the Delhi Bridge Run, which is coming up on June 6 this year. This event features a 5K walk, 5K run and 10K run. Both courses feature rolling hills, streamside views, and 4 historical bridges. The top male and female winners in the 5 and 10k races will receive a $100 cash. The top three finishers in nine different age categories get wooden medals handmade locally. Registration is $25 before June 3rd and $30 on race day.
