Young dives into his baseball-playing past in the video for “Catch.” The clip opens with the country singer stepping onto a pitcher’s mound, and then flashes back to shots of him throughout his career, from tryouts to games to the injury that eventually ended his time on the baseball diamond and started his run to country music stardom. Young's love of the game also intersects with a different type of love, though, as viewers see him meet the love of his life in the stands. The sweetest part about “Catch” is that it’s based on a true story: that of how Young met his wife, Taylor Mills, while playing baseball.

Nominated for the CMT Music Awards' Breakthrough Video of the Year honor, Runaway June's video for “Buy My Own Drinks” is a full-on party. The video shows that Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne have been following their dreams since childhood. Viewers get to see the child versions of each member of the country trio enjoying the same favorite hobbies, from painting to playing with dogs to performing music, that they still pursue today. It’s a celebration of independence and returning to your “inner child,” and it’s 100-percent fun.

The music video for “Old Town Road (Remix),” which won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Direction, opens with a shot that looks straight out of a Western movie. Lil Nas X and Cyrus are on the run from the law, and their adventures trying to escape the sheriff send them to hide in a mineshaft that magically transports them to 2019. The time-traveling cowboys are joined by a variety of stars in the video, including Chris Rock, Vince Staples, Diplo and more.

Bentley’s adorable co-star -- none other than his son Knox -- steals the show in the “Living” music video. The clip is a sweet celebration of the simple things in life, featuring shots of the father and son jamming on instruments, riding go-karts, playing Skee-Ball, zipping down waterslides and having Nerf battles ... and then passing out on the couch. That's a lot of adventure for one day!

The all-female supergroup the Highwomen light up the screen in their “Redesigning Women" music video ... literally. Dressed as firefighters, Amanda Shires, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby build a giant pyre of items representing stereotypical femininity -- bras, prom queen sashes, ridiculously ornate lingerie, ironing boards and more -- and set it ablaze. They’re soon joined by a slew of other female artists, including Tanya Tucker, Lauren Alaina, Kassi Ashton, Wynonna Judd, Cassadee Pope and more, turning their bonfire into a real field party.

Winner of the CMT Music Awards' Breakthrough Video of the Year trophy, “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” is a compilation video, featuring McBryde performing the song for crowds across the country. But then, the rising star takes the spotlight and shines it on a new class of artists, showing homemade clips of up-and-coming musicians playing in bars or recording themselves in their bedrooms. It’s the perfect turn for a song about believing in your dreams and your talents, no matter what anyone else says.

Ballerini is front and center in the “Homecoming Queen?” music video, perched on a stool in her dressing room, the camera circling her again and again as the background slowly fades away and she gradually transforms from a glamorous version of herself to a more authentic style. Throughout the simple clip, the star goes from a performer in full makeup, a fancy hairdo and stage clothes to a young woman in sweats with her hair down. Every time the camera circles Ballerini, something new falls away, eventually revealing the beautiful person who was there all along.

“I think it just comes down to … we don’t want more than anyone else. We want the same as everyone else,” Morris explains in the opening of her music video for “Girl.” The powerful, uplifting clip mixes shots of Morris’ live performances with the stories of different women from all backgrounds and of all ages. The proudly pro-feminist, pro-diversity video is not pulling political punches: Along with showing women doing daily, mundane things, it also features clips from the Women’s March and shots of a young mother at a border fence.

Following a shot of the forest floor littered with empty beer bottles, the video for “All Your’n” features Childers taking a hit from what is perhaps the biggest homemade bong of all time. And after that is when things get weird (er ... weirder?). The clip is a bizarre, trippy journey through a stoner’s wobbly imagination, and despite -- or perhaps because of -- its weirdness, it's original, clever and a whole lot of fun.

The music video for “Second One to Know” features Stapleton and his band as you’ve never seen them before: Specifically, it features them as Legos. The incredible animated clip finds Stapleton, his wife Morgane, his band and crew and other friends fully transformed into Lego figures, performing for an all-Lego crowd, jamming out on miniature plastic instruments and ... fighting a Lego monster? If that wasn’t fun enough, The Lego Movie star Chris Pratt (also a Stapleton superfan) makes a guest appearance.
