4 Cooperstown Focus Rehab Employees Arrested

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Tuesday the arrest and arraignment of four former employees of Focus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. 54 year old Lorraine Caldwell, Licensed Practical Nurse from Holland Patient, 30 year old Amanda Gus, Licensed Practical Nurse from Hartwick, 29 year old Sarah Schuyler, Certified Nurse Assistant from Mohawk, and 48 year old Donna Gray, Certified Nurse Assistant from Sidney on charges alleging that they each failed to provide care to a 94 year old resident over the Memorial Day weekend this year. Caldwell, Gus and Schuyler were arraigned on various felony charges of Falsifying Business Records, Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person in the First Degree, as well as the misdemeanor charge of Willful Violation of Health Laws, while Gray was arraigned on the misdemeanor charge of Willful Violation of Health Laws. The defendants were released on their own recognizance.
