Music filled the streets surrounding the Walton First United Methodist Church Friday Night and all day Saturday as local musicians showed their talents to the community via two separate events this past weekend.

On Friday night “Songs Of The Human Spirit” took place in the church from 7-9 pm to benefit the Walton Food Bank. Performers included Grace’s Touch (The Edwards Family) from Delhi, Celtic musicians Local Seisiun (pronounced session), local singer/songwriter Natalie Yambor, No Center Line (Chuck Conkling and Teri Stratford), Don Gilkinson and Bill Seneschal to a crowd, according to Bill Seneschal, “Numbers were way up from previous years.”

On Saturday the community came out in force for The 9th Annual FUMC Street Fair with vendors, games for the kids, Chee Chee the Clown and of course music all day. Charlie Grossman and The Hulse Brothers Band kicked the day off at 10am followed by Natalie Yambor, Local Seisiun (with Steve Eisenberg) No Center Line, Jeff Wood and closing out the day was Bill Seneschal and Don Gilkinson.

As it turned out the only nicer than the weather that day was the music.
