Wildland firefighters from Otsego, Chenango and Delaware Counties are back home after working to battle and contain wildfires in Klamath and Plumas National Forests in California. Aimee Bills, Joshua Choquette and Daniel Welc joined 17 other personnel who began their assignment in California on Sept. 9. The Lime Fire in the Klamath National Forest in grew to encompass more than 1,800 acres while the Walker Fire at the Plumas National Forest grew to 54,600 acres.
