‘Independence Day 2′ Has Been Pushed to 2016
2015 is looking like the Nerd singularity, when we'll see such films as 'The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron,' 'Jurassic World,' 'The Fantastic Four,' 'Batman Vs. Superman,' 'Terminator 5,' 'Ant-Man,' the new James Bond, 'Warcraft' and 'Star Wars: Episode 7' all hitting the big screen. But one big title has decided to hold off until 2016: 'Independence Day 2.'
Kate Upton is Being Courted for the ‘Entourage’ Movie
Though the film struggled to get the cast signed on, it looks like the 'Entourage' movie is heading forward with everyone in tow, and now the film is looking to cast its leading lady. Word is that model/actress Kate Upton is up for the part.
‘Batman Vs. Superman’ is Eying Adam Driver for Nightwing
The news broke that 'Batman Vs. Superman' was looking for someone to play Robin only two days ago, and now there seems to be a leading contender for the role. 'Girls' star Adam Driver is being considered to play Batman's sidekick Robin, who's now going by the more badass name Nightwing.
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Wants a Wonder Woman?
On top of yesterday's news that 'Batman vs. Superman' is possibly looking for a Robin, word has leaked that they may want to get that much closer to the 'Justice League' goalpost by introducing Wonder Woman into the mix, and three actresses are currently in contention for the role.
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Could Be Looking for a Robin
Though it isn't due out until July 2015, it seems that Zack Snyder's 'Batman vs. Superman' (or whatever they eventually call it) has done some shooting, and is now auditioning people for the film. The latest scoop is that the film might feature Dick Grayson, also known as Robin or Nightwing.
‘Winter’s Tale’ Trailer: Colin Farrell’s Love is Timeless
The first trailer for Akiva Goldsman's directorial debut 'Winter's Tale' will probably make the most sense to those who've read the Mark Helprin book. We're a little unsure of what to make of it, though it stars Colin Farrell as a charming thief and Russell Crowe as a bad guy (and possible sorcerer), so it could be worth watching.
Jon Favreau Could Direct the New Version of ‘The Jungle Book’
It seems like 'Iron Man' director Jon Favreau needed to lick his wounds after the fiasco that was 'Cowboys and Aliens,' as that film's failure may have led to a number of his follow-ups falling apart (he was once set to direct both 'Magic Kingdom' and 'Jersey Boys'). But after directing the lower budget 'Chef' it looks like he'll be helming a new franchise as he's up for the new adaptation of 'The
‘Star Wars’ Latest Rumor: Will ‘Episode 7′ be Free From the Children of Skywalkers?
So much of what's happening with 'Star Wars: Episode 7' should be taken with a grain of salt, but early word was that the film would focus on the children of Luke Skywalker and/or Han Solo and Leia (though expanded universe fiction suggests otherwise, it is unknown if she took his last name, or even if they got married). But the latest casting call suggests that J.J. Abrams and company may be goin
‘The Hobbit 2′ Trailer: Epic Adventures Come in ‘The Desolation of Smaug’
If you're like us, you may have been a little underwhelmed by the first 'Hobbit' movie, but the latest trailer for Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' seems not only action packed, but lacking in any scenes featuring long meals or songs.
‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ New TV Spot Features Christina Aguilera’s “We Remain”
The tie-in promotional hit single hasn't been as popular/successful as it once was outside of the Bond movies (anyone remember the Soundgarden song in 'The Avengers'?), but that's not stopping 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' from featuring the new single from Christian Aguilera. To help sell the movie (and the song "We Remain") there's a brand new TV spot.
