Lola Rathbone, President and CEO of Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care,
has announced that she will retire in 2017 after 25 years of service to the
organization. The Board of Directors has named Dan Ayres as her successor.
Ayres, former CEO of O’Connor Hospital in Delhi and Tri-Town Hospital in Sidney,
has accepted the position and will begin his tenure by the end of this year.
Ayres, who will be relocating back to the area after heading Summersville
Regional Medical Center in West Virginia for the past two years, served on the
Hospice Board of Directors for six years.

the past 25 years. Dan’s appointment to be the next leader of this extraordinary
organization is yet another blessing. Dan is an experienced, successful
healthcare executive and is just what is needed as Hospice and Palliative Care
become an even more important part of the continuum of care for the people
of our region.“ said Rathbone.
