The State Senate and Assembly passed a constitutional amendment to bring casino gaming to a popular vote.

State Senator Tom Libous says it's now up to the voters to decide whether New York moves forward with casino gambling.

If approved in November, a new gaming facility location board will select up to four eligible applicants for casino locations in the state.

Senator Libous says that Tioga Downs is in one of the three eligible areas for licensed casino gaming. He hopes the amendment is approved, giving the southern tier area new jobs and economic growth.
