The Chenango United Way campaign for 2013 is in the books.

The fund raising campaign was over as of December 31st, but the United Way Board then had to allocate the money to the non-profits in Chenango County which presented the best programs for consideration. Elizabeth Monaco, Executive Director of Chenango United Way, says the campaign was a success thanks to the generosity of the community:

Monaco said they were happy to reach 92% of their goal, raising a little over $420,000, and now that the allocations are distributed and an audit completed, its time to work on this year's campaign:

Chenango United Way has planned a golf tournament for this summer to kick off the 2014 campaign.

All funds raised by Chenango United Way stay in the county, providing funding for programs for all ages.
