Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell are officially husband and wife! The country star and the The Bachelor alum tied the knot on Friday (Oct. 25) in Nashville, Tenn.

Lane and Bushnell's wedding, which took place at the "industrial-chic event space" 14Tenn, was attended by 160 family and friends, including Jana Kramer and husband Michael Caussin, among others, People reports. The couple partnered with Stella Rose Floral to create an indoor "secret garden"-type space for their big day, and they both wrote their own vows for the ceremony, which was officiated by Dr. Clayton King, a pastor and author from South Carolina.

“I’ve just looked forward to the day for quite some time, and I’m glad that it’s finally here,” Lane says. “I feel like I’m the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying her.”

Adds Bushnell, “I feel like the luckiest girl. We both recognize what we have is special, and we feel very lucky.”

Lane and Bushnell went public as a couple less than one year ago, making their first major appearance together at the 2018 CMA Awards in November. They moved in together, after dating long-distance, in March, and got engaged in June. Lane proposed at Bushnell's parents' home, by playing "Big, Big Plans," a song he wrote specifically for the occasion. The song had a special place in the couple's wedding day as well: Lane recorded an acoustic version of the track to serve as their first dance song.

"Chris wrote it, and it was inspired by our relationship, and it has such a special meaning to us,” Bushnell says of the song, "so I don’t think we could really dance to anything else.”

Lane and Bushnell two have known each other since 2015, when they met at a radio event in Austin, Texas. Their relationship began heating up, though, when he "randomly" invited her to join a bunch of friends and him on vacation in the Bahamas in August of 2018. The two recall being attracted to each other during the trip, but, Bushnell remembers, "He talked about how he wanted to be single forever, how he didn’t know if he wanted kids. Chris decided to use our entire trip to completely scare me away.”

"I think we probably both were just fighting ourselves over the whole thing," Lane explains of the situation. Admits Bushnell, "I think I was just very guarded and protecting myself," but after he went back to Nashville and she returned to Los Angeles, Calif., they continued to keep in touch daily and visit each other.

Now that they're married, Lane and Bushnell will be moving into a new home in Nashville and "have a lot to look forward to," he says. They're also planning a "real honeymoon," but not right away.

"To get to have somebody like Lauren as a best friend, just in life, is going to make it a million times better," Lane reflects. "There’s just so many firsts that we’ll experience — hopefully kids. Just the whole nine yards. I want all of that with her.”
