Delaware County Public Health Services and Friends of Recovery- Delaware Otsego will be sponsoring a Recovery Coach Academy & Ethical Considerations training April 12th, 2020 – April 17th, 2020 9 am to 5:30 pm. Location: First Baptist Church in Delhi, NY. Lunch will be provided to Trainees.

The academy is designed for individuals involved in the recovery initiation of others and/or in sustained recovery themselves who want to become a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery. The RCA training covers the Connecticut Center for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) model for peer specialist roles and responsibilities. This training will allow individuals to earn 46 CEU’s of training hours. Topics include Ethics for Peer Professionals, Self-Care for Recovery Coaches, Medication Assisted Treatment and Recovery (MAT/MAR), Spirituality for Recovery Coaches, Professionalism for Peer Advocates, etc.

This Recovery Coach Academy includes all course materials. Scholarships are available.
