District 5 Fairs Ultimate Idol Karaoke Contest

The Delaware County Fair BIG Stage this year will feature Easton Corbin and Danielle Bradbery on August 16^th at 7pm. But there is something else really big brewing for this year’s fair.

For the past two months the local fairs of District 5 have played home to a very special competition. The District 5 Fairs Ultimate Idol Karaoke Contest hosted by Northern Star Productions has heard some of the best singers that Central New York has to offer in an effort to award $2500 in prize money and a chance for an invitation the sing on NBC’s hit show “The Voice”. Thus far there have four fairs with 5 to 6 singers each already qualified for the Grand Finale Showdown at High Noon on August 16^th in The Entertainment Tent at The Delaware County Fair in Walton.

The Entertainment Tent will also feature other shows throughout the week beginning on August 11^th including a fair favorite “Buffalo Barfield” with daily shows, local bands, The Delaware County Fair Jr Idol Karaoke Contest (ages 12-16) on August 12 with sign ups at 5 and a show start at 6pm and the last opportunity to qualify for The District 5 Ultimate Idol Karaoke Contest (ages 17 and over) on August 14^thsign ups at 5 and a show start at 6pm.
