Off a shortened XFL season, the New York Giants are dipping into the alternate league's player pool for talent.


Askew-Henry played for the New York Guardians. Rapoport says he expects Askew-Henry will compete for the Giants' nickel cornerback role. Also, he's apparently the cousin of future Hall of Fame cornerback Darelle Revis.

Askew-Henry follows P.J. Walker, who recently signed a deal with the Carolina Panthers, as the first players to reap NFL benefits from playing in the XFL.
