When you think of Halloween, do you think of the Beatles?  Probably not but Guilderland resident Jeff Pitkin and his wife Ellen thought it would be fun to tie the 50th Anniversary of the release of the Beatles album “Abbey Road” in with Halloween.

Every year, this couple goes all out when decorating their yard for Halloween, much to the delight of residents in their neighborhood but this year, with their children grown and out on their own, they thought they might take a break from decorating.  And then they received an anonymous letter from a neighborhood child asking them if they would be once again decorating their lawn for Halloween?  They then decided to keep the tradition going and celebrate the Beatles at the same time.

After getting a huge positive response from people checking out their display, the Pitkins decided to create a Facebook page to ask people who enjoyed the display to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  To find out more about St. Jude's or make a donation, visit Abbey Road Halloween Tribute - Share the Love with the Kids.
