Congress and President Trump are pursuing legislation to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.  To address how that would affect Americans, a "Policy Meets Practice Lecture" will be given by Dr. William Streck at the Craven Lounge in the Morris Complex of the SUNY Oneonta campus, tonight beginning at 6 p.m.  Dr. Streck will be discussing the dramatic social and economic impacts of an ACA repeal for communities and local health care providers based on his experience in hospital operations and health policy councils in New York State over the past 30 years.

Dr. Streck is the Chief Medical and Health System Innovation Officer of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS), and the Former President and CEO of the Bassett Healthcare Network.

The lecture also includes an extended question and answer session.

Below, Dr. Keel speaks with Townsquare Media's Leslie Ann about this lecture.  Listen in.

It is co-sponsored by the SUNY Oneonta Political Science Department and Pre-Health Professions Program. For more information, contact Dr. Gina Keel at keelgl@oneonta.edu.
