Its been about 3 weeks since Army and Navy personnel left Norwich after a 10 day period of Innovative Readiness Training which brought about 170 service men to Norwich to provide no-cost health care to the region. The final results of the event are in and a total of 15,288 procedures were performed.. There were 2,461 residents getting medical treatment, 2,779 receiving optometry, 4.969 getting dental care and nearly 500 rabies shots were given to domestic animals while 633 were spade or neutered. Chenango County shelled out 83 thousand dollars in overtime costs, but the services provided amounted to 1.47 million dollars
