The Village of New Berlin was recently awarded a Main Street grant of $250,000 to make needed infrastructure renovations to some of the historic New Berlin village.

New Berlin Mayor Terry Potter says the village is grateful to those who helped make the grant possible.

"This money is going to go to improving our downtown and some of the building and infrastructure that we have," Potter said. "We're excited about that, and I know the property owners share the same enthusiasm that we have for revitalizing our downtown."

During the process, Potter and other village officials sat down with each property owner and came to agreement on what would be done to best improve and restore the historic New Berlin community.
