Police Arrest Bronx Man for Allegedly Selling Heroin in Oneonta

Alexander Vega, 22, of the Bronx, was arrested for allegedly selling heroin in August and September 2011 in the city of Oneonta.

The arrest comes as a result of Operation Dial Tone, which is a joint narcotics investigation into the heroin distribution from the Bronx into Otsego County.

Vega is presently incarcerated at the Moriah Shock Incarceration Facility in Essex County on a criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree conviction. Vega was brought to the Otsego County Court where he was arrested on the sealed indictment warrant of arrest.

Vega was arraigned and his bail was set at $25,000. Vega will be back in Otsego County Court later this month
