The Delhi Covered Bridge Run brought out record numbers for the fourth straight year.

Runners and walkers from six states participated to the tune of 546 registrations in the 10K and 5K runs as well as the 5K Health Walk.

This event sponsored by C.L.A.S.I. (Catskill Ladies to Support and Inspire) and the Greater Delhi Chamber of Commerce had several returning winners including Julie Hilson of Bovina Center who has won the ladies 10K run four years running, and 16-year-old Declan Kottmeier of Bovina winning the 5K run two years in a row.

Gabriella Rollo of Delhi set a new record for the Ladies 5K Run with a time of 20:31, beating the old record set in 2009 by one minute and twelve seconds. The winner of the in the Men's 10K was Nate Lull of Gilbertsville with a time of 17:54.

The recipients of this year's college scholarships funded by the run are graduating seniors Joshua Shepard from Delaware Academy in Delhi and Haley O'Connor from Walton Central School. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Catskill Mountain Club for trail building and maintenance.

Race director Amy Beveridge had this to say about this year's event, "We were thrilled with the turnout for the race. This is such a great event and we're so thankful for the support the community has given us."

Next year's Covered Bridge Run will be held on June 6th.
