SUNY Oneonta announced that design work has started on a new campus building which will house the University Police Department and the Otsego County Law Enforcement Academy. The 9,000 square foot building is expected to be built adjacent to a commuter parking lot and uphill from the end of Clinton Street in the City of Oneonta. Currently UPD and OCLEA currently share space with the college’s Office of Alumni Engagement in Alumni Hall. The college estimates that the Center will cost about $6 million to construct and groundbreaking could take place as early as the summer of 2019.
