Today's wet forecast will move the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s 75th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony indoors to the Hall of Fame Gallery at 11 a.m.

The event, open to those purchasing a Museum admission, had previously been scheduled to be held on the front steps. Main Street, which had previously been scheduled to be closed from Fair to Pioneer Streets from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., will remain open to vehicle traffic.

Today’s ceremony, featuring Hall of Famers Phil Niekro and Cal Ripken, will mark the 75th birthday of the Museum. It opened its doors for the first time on June 12, 1939, as an estimated crowd of 12,000 fans packed Main Street to witness the opening ceremony.
