Coming up July 13th through 22nd is the Greater Chenango Cares event, which is a joint
partnership with the Department of Defense which provides an opportunity for residents in Chenango and adjacent counties to participate in a no cost military training program Known as Innovative Readiness Training.  According to Elizabeth Monaco,executive Director of Chenango United Way. Chenango County has been chosen as the only location in the Northeast this year. Joining the 170 service members will be 900 local volunteers to assist. Walk ins are welcome for medical and optical services .  There are no income or insurance requirements and residents in surrounding communities are welcome to take part.
