A Walton Central School class has won a county-wide award from the ARC of Delaware County.

The fifth-grade class, taught by Nancy Gavett, entered the Everybody Can Contest, earning a top award by creating a book called “Everybody Can – Goes Famous.” 21 famous people who had some sort of disability were portrayed with stories and illustrations. Some of the celebrities included Albert Einstein, David Beckham, Tom Cruise and Whoopi Goldberg.

The school and students were recognized with a certificate presented by the ARC.
