Walton Theater To Celebrate 100th Birthday with Free Event

Walton will celebrate its historic theatre's birthday on Saturday, March 29th, 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Music of the first four decades of the theatre will be played on the theatre grand piano throughout the open house by five pianists. There will be guided theatre tours including the backstage areas where little has changed in 100 years.

There will also be an Exhibition of Fire department memorabilia, along with the history of the theatre being presented by the Walton Historical Society.

Watch for student guides and “newsboys” hawking copies of Walton Reporter/Theatre Centennial newspaper for 5 cents, then enjoy some refreshments, courtesy of the Walton Theatre Preservation Committee.
